LnLMTR network diagnostics

A free Steam tool that traces the route between your machine and any server, hop by hop, so you can find the connection problem instead of guessing at it.

Diagnostics

Know your connection

Latency, packet loss, jitter and route tracing. LnLMTR shows you exactly where the problem lives, not just that one exists.

Route analysis

An intelligent breakdown of your network path that identifies the ISP handoffs, the hops where responsibility changes hands.

Detailed statistics

Packet loss, latency as best, average and worst, jitter and more, per hop rather than as one blended number.

Real-time monitoring

The trace runs continuously and the numbers update live, so intermittent problems show themselves instead of hiding between one-off tests.

Colour-coded results

Every hop reads as healthy (green), unstable (yellow) or problematic (red). You do not need to interpret raw output.

FAQs

Cost, platform support, presets and how it differs from a plain traceroute.

How much does LnLMTR cost?

Nothing. LnLMTR is free to play on Steam, with no accounts to create beyond Steam itself, no trial and no paid tier.

What platforms does it run on?

Windows 10 and later, 64-bit. It needs 128 MB of RAM and about 50 MB of storage.

Which games have presets?

Twenty titles ship with one-click server presets, including Rust, Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, League of Legends, Final Fantasy XIV and World of Warcraft.

How is this different from a plain traceroute?

LnLMTR runs continuously rather than once, so you see latency and packet loss per hop change over time. It also analyses the route to identify ISP handoffs, and colour-codes each hop as healthy, unstable or problematic.

Can I share the results?

Yes. Results copy to the clipboard or export as CSV or plain text, which is what you want when you are sending evidence to an ISP or a server host.
